CHARITY J. TONELLI, ESQ.
FOUNDER OF TONELLI LAW
Catastrophic Personal Injury Attorney

Charity Tonelli is the founder of Tonelli Law and a seasoned trial attorney whose career has been defined by advocacy, courtroom excellence, and an unwavering commitment to justice. She established the firm in 2015 with the mission of representing individuals and families whose lives have been permanently altered by negligence. Today, Charity focuses her practice exclusively on catastrophic personal injury cases, advocating for seriously injured clients against insurance companies and negligent actors.
Charity’s commitment to protecting the rights of others began early and guided her path to a career centered on litigation and trial advocacy. She earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law, where she distinguished herself academically and in the courtroom. While in law school, Charity volunteered with the Juvenile Life Without Parole Defense Fund and interned with the State Attorney’s Office. She earned multiple “Book Awards” for achieving the highest grade in several courses, including Florida Criminal Procedure, and graduated with Honors in Trial Advocacy and Honors in Children & Family Law.
Following law school, Charity served as an Assistant State Attorney in Orange and Osceola Counties. As a prosecutor, she handled thousands of criminal cases and tried dozens of cases to jury verdict. This experience gave her a deep understanding of how serious cases are investigated, how evidence is developed, and how juries evaluate responsibility, credibility, and harm—skills she now applies on behalf of injured plaintiffs.
Today, Charity brings a prosecutor’s discipline and a trial lawyer’s mindset to catastrophic personal injury litigation, including serious motor vehicle and trucking accidents, wrongful death, and other cases involving permanent injury and devastating loss. She prepares every case with the expectation that it will be tried, building liability and damages from day one to present a clear, compelling story of accountability and human impact.
Charity is especially dedicated to representing clients facing lifelong consequences, including permanent injury, loss of earning capacity, and profound disruption to their families’ lives. She approaches each case with meticulous preparation, strategic focus, and genuine compassion, ensuring that her clients are treated with dignity and that their injuries are fully and fairly valued.
In addition to her practice, Charity has remained active in the legal community. She is a former Board Member of the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers and a former Board Member of the Orange County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
At Tonelli Law, Charity Tonelli brings years of trial training, prosecutorial insight, and plaintiff-side advocacy to every case she handles. She is dedicated to securing justice and meaningful recoveries for those who have suffered catastrophic injuries due to the negligence of others.
